“We were met by the guide and bus at our hotel promptly at 7:00. Picking up about 20 others at hotels around the old city and exciting Hanoi at rush hour took two hours. So it was 10:30 when we reached the mid-point rest stop. We arrived at our first attraction,the small mountain in Ninh Binh, at 11:30. The climb of about 500 steps is a bit strenuous but well worth the effort. The views are magnificent. The lunch buffet was adequate. The visit to a thousand year old Buddhist temple was interesting.
